Workers of Portuguese nationality, carrying out certain tasks in the Public Administration, or persons specifically entrusted by the State of mission in a public service have, according to their convenience and after authorization of Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service (SEF), the possibility to biometric data collection and biographical data recording for the Special Passport within different organic units of SEF.
- Portuguese Immigration and Borders Service (Serviço de Estrangeiros e Fronteiras/SEF).
- Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Ministério dos Negócios Estrangeiros/MNE), their employees of the staff, and abroad the competence is of the Portuguese consular authorities.
- Presidents of the Regional Governments (personalities of the autonomous regions).
How to make the Request?
The request addressed to the National Director of SEF shall be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org and shall contain information on the situation or mission of the service of which the addressee has been responsible for, with the likely duration provided.
Where to make the biometric data collection?
In SEF’s Directions and Regional Directions of Lisboa area, Vale do Tejo and Alentejo, Centre, North, Algarve, Madeira (SEF’s employees only) and Açores (SEF’s employees only) and SEF headquarters in Tagus Park.
